Animal Research help save human lives and makes sure medications are safe (Shandilga 1). There are three types of animal testing research, which are pure research, applied research, and toxicology research. Pure research is used to figure out more about the human and animal body. Applied research is directed towards one specific goal, like finding a cure to a specific disease. The final type of animal research is toxicology research, which is when different products are tested on animals to see the result. Toxicology research is done because it helps find cures for many life threatening diseases (Shandilga 1). It can happen anywhere that there is scientist and a laboratory ands it was most common in 19th and 20th centuries (“Animal Experimentation” 549). Many people who do toxicology research work for the American Medical Association and Research Defense Society (Shandilga 2). Animal testing should be allowed because it helps to advance in science, new medical treatments, and it saves humans lives.
